PLATINUM ATF DEXTRON III is formulated with higher viscosity index compare to ATF DEXTRON II. So it could take even higher temperature.
PLATINUM ATF DEXTRON III serves as a power-transmission fluid in the torque converter, hydraulic fluid in the control and servo systems, as a lubricant for bearing and gears and as a friction controlling medium, for bands and clutches.
